Gown Choosing and 姐妹s

Went for my first gown choosing today. Tried on a total of 18 gowns and had to shortlist down to 3! Woohoo~ Must say after a while the white-based gowns all looked the same, the intricate and elaborate crystal-sewn bodice, puffy bottom and moderate-length trains. But still they were all very pretty! I set my eyes on one of the standard-type and 2 others with bolder colour mix.

The two ladies helping me were really patient and nice, I guess they have no choice cos it's their job lah. But still thankful for their patience and advice along the way. They are both very cute and bubbly gals. Haha~ I think they made what could have been a tiring and repetitive task really fun! Nonetheless, I still felt tired after that...age is catching up on me...

Was also glad to have Liang and Spinky around to give me their truthful opinions, especially with my indecisive self (tsk tsk). We'll be choosing the evening gowns (kept saying night gowns) the next round! Yayee~ I have abt one month to slim down further. (Some of the gowns I tried on were unbelievably slim-cut lor. Who in the world wears that man?!)

And also, introducing my 史上最強姐妹團! (Names have been omitted on purpose)

We're gonna have so much fun! Woohoo~

Tales from a Screen Freak

Went to watch The Treasure Hunter last weekend. The first question Liang and I asked each other after the movie was "So what's the story about?" It was exciting with all the action and stuff (and Jay looked totally cool in the shooting-on-bike scene), but they seem to be coming up with nonsensical sub-plots out of nowhere just to cast various people in the show. I thought the 大漠飛鷹 was some 'sud' character who would be the soul of the story...in the end was like so duh!!! So a lot of the characters ended up quite redundant and the main story line was kinda diluted...booboo... Nevermind.
Next show to watch...JUMP!

Certainty

People say that the only constant is change. Today at a gathering, I was asked what was one thing that inspired me. I guess what someone said to me kind of inspired me and put me into action what I did today. He said that he frequently hears his friends complaining endlessly about their work. Life is short. What's the point of doing something that you do not enjoy and always complaining about it? I agree. From the very beginning. But circumstances and the need to fulfill my promise had prevented me from getting out of my comfort zone. Now things are different.

I know it's a risk. I was told I am very brave. Some probably think I'm crazy or stupid or naive or rash. But wth I am not going to continue like that. At a recent appraisal, my supervisor asked if I enjoyed my work. I told him frankly that I was not exactly passionate about it. He admitted that most of us are driven by our sense of responsibility more than anything else. Hence in the course of work, always try and do something or work towards what you eventually want to do.

Anyway, I'm taking a step forward (hopefully not backward). Tricky situation now. Moving into unchartered waters. Cool. Now who said I hate uncertainties...

Step 2

We've finally settled Step 2 - confirming the bridal package! Wow, guess we never knew it could be such an exhausting experience, just 6 places over 2 days, almost brain-dead man... Every studio will take great pains to explain and sell their packages, some for up to 2 hours! I mean, I do appreciate the effort and time taken, and I do feel apologetic to those we promised but did not go back to......but free market prevails.

Anyway, managed to get a comprehensive package from one of the more competitive studios. If I had loads of money and time, I would separate out the gown and photography, cos there doesn't seem to be a single one that has gorgeous gowns and super professional photography. Oh well, make the best out of it la! ^^
Despite the exhaustion, it's really fun to go around with Liang on weekdays...no crowd and all. Yay! And! I had my virgin gown trying! So fun to try on various cutting...I guess I would go for princess, a-line, or empire cut. Short and plump mah what to do? And I love BLINGZ~!

Had an enjoyable super long weekend! Oh yah before that we had our Divisional retreat (or what some prefer to call "advance", cos should advance and not retreat...so lame). Fun! One full day out - first to Sentosa and then to Udders to make our own ice-cream and have ice cream buffet! Cool! The 貓山王 ice cream was damn nice la!
The world is full of never-ending complaints. People are only thinking of their own interest and never thinking for those on the other side. I read and hear with deep sorrow the voices over the past few days. This just sucks man... Whatever. And I can't understand why some like to be mysterious... wtf lor. Ha pardon my random rantings...
